About Me


I live in Chicago with my husband, our adorable one year old daughter and two mischievous pups.  As a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator I spend my days working at a hospital helping people with diabetes figure out how to lower their blood sugar.  One of my favorite recommendations is trading out their "healthy" oatmeal breakfast for a big ole omelette!  So you can imagine how distraught I am about an elimination diet that allows most grains but not my beloved eggs!

In my free time you can find me and my family cooking, enjoying local restaurants or shopping at our favorite farmers markets and grocery stores.  My daughter's first food was beef liver, and to this day she eats "adult" food at the table with us for every meal that we can.  We really, truly love food at our house, and are determined to make the elimination diet process as gustatorially enjoyable as possible!
